This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Oversee the execution of the Sober/Recovery Housing T/TA Supplement.
• Organize training sessions, technical assistance, outcome measurement tools, and peer learning opportunities throughout HHS Region 5.
• Provide support to states, communities, sober/recovery housing operators, and Recovery Community Organizations.
• Enhance implementation fidelity for funding and programs related to sober/recovery housing.
• Develop state and provider capabilities to create certified sober/recovery housing.
• Improve accountability for outcomes and minimize technical obstacles to SAMHSA housing-related funding opportunities.
• Oversee the execution of strategic planning initiatives and objectives focused on outreach programs.
• Evaluate recommendations and offer insights on new outreach programs or services.
• Create and enforce operating policies and procedures that are in line with the strategic plan.
• Assess the needs of outreach programs and allocate personnel resources accordingly.
• Supervise the unit or program budget and authorize program expenditures.
• May oversee at least 2.0 FTE or equivalent staff members.
• At least 3 years of experience in substance use recovery support, sober/recovery housing, behavioral health, or delivering technical assistance.
• Proven experience in providing technical assistance or training to state agencies, community-based organizations, or service providers.
• Familiarity with sober/recovery housing models, NARR certification standards, and practices for resident safety.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Experience in facilitating both virtual and in-person meetings, webinars, or workshops.
• Bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, psychology, counseling, public administration, or a related field.
• Master’s degree in public health, social work, psychology, counseling, public administration, or a related field.
• Continuous eligibility to work in the United States.
• Candidates must provide proof of work authorization and eligibility to work.
• Employment may necessitate a criminal background check.
• The role may involve travel to regional training events, peer learning gatherings, and SAMHSA partner meetings (approximately 15-25%).
