This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Oversee and execute the removal of chemical warfare materials under FFP or CPFF contracts for USACE.
• Formulate intricate technical strategies and competitive pricing for the identification and extraction of CWM and/or conventional munitions.
• Create workplans and schedules for CWM projects.
• Administer budgets and ensure quality control.
• Lead field teams during the execution of removal operations.
• Act as the Deputy Program and Client Manager for the USACE Huntsville Center.
• Provide remediation services to clients within the federal sector.
• Collaborate with a team of technical specialists on CWM remediation initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, soil science, geology, or a related earth science field.
• Over 10 years of experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role as a Project Manager for federal projects, or equivalent experience and/or education.
• US citizenship is mandatory.
• Successful completion of a background check is required.
• Preferred experience with USACE MMRP in executing CWM remediation operations.
• Comprehensive understanding of USACE EP 75-1-3.
• Experience in the development and execution of a DDESB-approved Chemical Safety Submission (CSS).
• Strongly preferred: 5+ years of experience managing CWM task order work for USACE Huntsville Center.
• Capability to manage projects in accordance with defined scope, schedule, and budget.
• Knowledge of project financial accounting, reporting, and controls.
• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
• Strong organizational management skills and the ability to perform meticulous work.
• Experience with MMR programs, including CWM and advanced geophysical classification.
• Background in managing CWM projects for USACE Huntsville Center and/or Redstone Arsenal.
• Proven skills in proposal writing, including for Multiple Award Task Order Contract proposals.
• Ability to effectively market and secure work.
• Advanced understanding of DoD and USACE MMR with a focus on CWM requirements and processes.
