This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +3 more states.
• Enforce the utilization of safety equipment and attire in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Strengthen adherence to company safety protocols among team members at project sites.
• Keep accurate safety records.
• Ensure that work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and organized manner.
• Investigate incidents and complete necessary documentation.
• Support the Site Manager with administrative guidance for team members and subcontractors who are not compliant.
• Conduct safety meetings and jobsite evaluations as part of coordination sessions.
• Facilitate daily safety meetings.
• Provide orientation and jobsite-specific training.
• Communicate, implement, and enforce Gray’s safety program on-site.
• Indirectly oversee the safety personnel of subcontractors.
• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.
• Travel to project locations across the United States and, occasionally, internationally.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field OR over 5 years of related experience in place of a degree.
• OSHA 30 Hour certification.
• Experience in an industrial construction environment is highly desirable.
• Proven understanding of safety and environmental principles and methodologies.
• Basic proficiency in computer skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Energetic and self-motivated with a passion for teamwork and professional growth.
• Must be available to travel to project sites throughout the United States and, at times, outside the U.S.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
• Must fulfill physical requirements, which include frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing/balancing, stooping/kneeling/crouching, and lifting/moving up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Capability to work in wet/humid conditions, around moving mechanical parts, outdoors, at heights, near fumes/airborne particles, in extreme temperatures, with risks of electrical shock, explosives, vibration, and moderate-to-loud noise.
