This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ You will oversee our on-site operations for 110/400 kV substation projects.
β’ Acting as our on-site representative, you will serve as the primary contact for our client and coordinate your site team along with our subcontractors for civil and installation tasks.
β’ As the individual accountable for site activities and their execution, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that operations at the substation are conducted safely, meet high-quality standards, adhere to schedules, and remain cost-effective.
β’ Mobilization: You will coordinate the deployment of site personnel in collaboration with internal departments and subcontractors, and plan the site setup.
β’ Occupational safety: You will plan and manage all site work in accordance with relevant occupational health, environmental, and safety regulations, while also contributing to the creation of work and safety instructions.
β’ Site management: You will direct all site activities, including overseeing subcontractors, to ensure efficient operations on-site.
β’ Communication: You will act as the liaison for our client and lead construction/site meetings.
β’ Control & reporting: You will monitor quality, costs, and schedules during construction and report accordingly to project management.
β’ Opportunities & risks: You will identify and manage risks and opportunities associated with installation activities and communicate them to project management.
β’ Completed vocational training in electrical engineering with several years of professional experience, preferably with additional qualifications as a technician or master craftsman.
β’ Experience as a site manager in substation projects or similar projects (e.g., oil & gas, power plants), or experience in the installation of high-voltage components is preferred.
β’ Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental (EHS) requirements according to international standards; the ability to identify and halt unsafe practices is essential.
β’ Excellent interpersonal communication and leadership skills, along with good organizational abilities and the capacity to provide clear reporting.
β’ Lean mindset: receptive to further training, new tools, and continuous improvement.
β’ Willingness to travel within Germany and the Netherlands.
β’ Proficient in written and spoken German; English language skills are a plus.
β’ Valid driving license class B.
