This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +3 more states.
• Execute all sales initiatives for the BD Rhapsody Single Cell Multiomics platform within the designated US South Central region.
• Position BD Rhapsody instruments, consumables, and comprehensive solutions with clients.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities across instrument, reagent, and multiomics offerings.
• Establish new business, convert competitive accounts, and nurture key relationships.
• Achieve or surpass territory growth objectives through direct sales, negotiations, bids/tenders, exhibitions, meetings, demonstrations, and technical/application support.
• Cultivate and maintain a short- and long-term sales pipeline that generates profitable revenue.
• Provide business teams with insights on market opportunities, threats, and intelligence.
• Keep customer and opportunity data updated in Salesforce CRM.
• Report on territory performance and deliver accurate sales forecasts.
• Collaborate with Field Applications, Customer Service, Technical Support, Service, Custom Technology, and Distribution teams.
• Build personal relationships with key distributor sales representatives.
• Report directly to the US Business Director of Single Cell Multiomics.
• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant life science field.
• At least 5 years of experience in selling or supporting genomic application solutions.
• Familiarity with single-cell, gene expression, mutation analysis, or other genomic variation applications.
• Experience with next-generation sequencing, sample preparation/library preparation, PCR, qPCR, and digital PCR.
• Experience in selling single-cell sequencing, transcriptomics, or proteogenomics technologies is highly preferred.
• Proficient in PC usage and skilled in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Willingness to travel at least 40% domestically.
• Knowledgeable about current multiomics and genomic applications and techniques.
• Proven ability to meet individual and team sales targets.
• Capability to coordinate cross-functional teams to drive solution sales.
• Excellent interpersonal, listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong presentation, organization, and analytical abilities.
• Proficient negotiation skills.
• Experience influencing and connecting with multiple decision-makers and collaborators.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and function with limited information.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license, with a minimum of 3 years of consecutive driving history, and compliance with BD auto safety standards.
