Silicon Photonics Specialist – Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assist with the Silicon Photonics Wafer Probe System product.

• Install and set up probers and accessories, including final acceptance testing.

• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance independently at customer locations within the EMEA service area.

• Create commissioning protocols and acceptance documentation.

• Deliver technical training and guidance to clients.

• Diagnose and fix probers through remote/telephone support as well as on-site assistance.

• Manage and document work orders and service calls in accordance with FormFactor standards.

• Collaborate with various departments at FormFactor to enhance product quality continuously.

• Engage regularly in qualification activities.

• Comply with health and safety protocols both internally and during customer interactions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree or certification in electrical engineering, automation technology, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years with a Master’s degree; or a PhD with no experience; or equivalent professional background.

• Preferably possess experience in Silicon Photonics and/or semiconductor testing.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.

• Reliability, punctuality, and effective teamwork and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in both German and English.

• Familiarity with standard MS Office applications.

• Valid driver's license.

• Willing to travel as needed.
