Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.

📋 Description

• Diagnose and fix a variety of packaging machinery, particularly multi-head weighers.

• Offer both on-site and remote assistance to efficiently address customer concerns.

• Install equipment such as tray formers, tray sealers, fillers, dosers, form/fill/seal machines, and other packaging machinery.

• Provide outstanding customer service by proactively identifying and implementing solutions.

• Follow up on customer requests and inquiries.

• Deliver technical support via phone.

• Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and service managers on intricate issues.

• Engage in training programs to enhance skills.

• Thoroughly document service calls and the solutions provided.

• Utilize technological tools for efficient reporting and knowledge management.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical field.

• At least 3 years of experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical machine problems.

• Prior experience with multi-head weighers is necessary.

• Strong proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems.

• High level of precision and ability to work with close tolerances.

• High school diploma or GED is required.

• Technical training and/or relevant work experience in electricity, electronics, or equipment maintenance.

• Willingness to travel 70-85% of the time.

• Must possess a valid driver's license.

• Capability to obtain a passport for travel purposes.

• Familiarity with MS Office Suite and the Windows operating system.

• Proficient in using service databases and CRMs, such as FileMaker.

• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

• Skilled in reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics.
