Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Diagnose and set up intricate, tailored packaging and processing machinery at client locations.

• Efficiently repair equipment according to customer specifications.

• Tackle challenges related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and robotic systems.

• Educate clients on safe operation, maintenance, and ordering of parts for the equipment.

• Provide contact details for the service team for future service and parts inquiries.

• Ensure clients are well-informed about operational and safety protocols.

• Complete repair documentation and submit expense reports within 24 hours post job completion.

• Accurately and timely fill out weekly expense reports and timesheets.

• Manage expenses in a cost-effective manner.

• Travel to client sites with most workdays requiring overnight stays.

• Maintain flexible work schedules, including options for 10 consecutive days on followed by 4 consecutive days off or a Monday-Friday schedule with one working weekend each month.

• Strong mechanical aptitude.

• Proficient in troubleshooting large-scale, complex machinery from mechanical, electrical, and operational perspectives.

• Solid background in electrical and mechanical systems.

• Skills in pneumatics and machine shop operations.

• Capability to interpret technical drawings.

• Knowledge of electromechanical systems.

• Advanced problem-solving abilities.

• Capacity to work independently.

• Exceptional customer service skills and professionalism.

• Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments.

• Adaptability to respond to changing or new situations.

• Willingness to travel on short notice.

• Availability to work outside regular business hours, including some weekends.

• Capacity to accommodate overnight stays during most workdays.

• Physical ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

• Ability to lift or move items weighing up to 50 lbs.

• Required visual acuity for close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
