Field Service Engineer – M4 Corridor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Perform daily servicing and upkeep of customer EV charging stations.

• Identify and rectify faults related to electrical systems, hardware, software, and networks.

• Execute repairs, including the replacement of defective parts and components.

• Assist in the installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, upgrades, and warranty tasks.

• Offer remote technical support to customers and field teams.

• Keep precise service records, daily worksheets, and track company vehicle mileage.

• Oversee and replenish the stock of spare parts.

• Work collaboratively with technical, engineering, and customer service departments.

• Aid in service and maintenance contracts, ensuring compliance with agreed response times and service levels.

• Ensure that work is performed safely and adheres to company policies as well as relevant electrical and EV charging standards.

• Participate in an on-call rotation approximately every five weeks, from Monday to Monday.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a technical support or field service engineering capacity.

• Demonstrated experience in servicing, maintenance, and repairs.

• Proficient in using a multimeter and conducting continuity tests.

• Hands-on, practical approach with confidence in using tools.

• Strong skills in fault-finding and diagnostics.

• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate technical issues clearly.

• Valid FULL MANUAL UK driving licence.

• Authorized to live and work in the UK.

• No more than 3 points on your driving licence.

• Desirable: experience in EV charging, automotive, clean energy, or electrical engineering.

• Desirable: familiarity with charging infrastructure or equivalent electrical equipment.

• Desirable: experience in providing remote technical support.

• Desirable: prior experience with on-call or out-of-hours support rotations.

• Desirable: relevant engineering qualifications or technical training.
