This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop and personalize Shopify theme components, templates, and functionalities utilizing Liquid.

• Manage development tasks, which include adjustments to settings and content, bug resolutions, and the addition of new features.

• Create configurable sections with well-organized theme settings.

• Produce structured, maintainable, and component-driven JavaScript.

• Guarantee that all work is responsive, compatible across various browsers, and accessible.

• Install, set up, and troubleshoot Shopify applications.

• Engage in Git and pull request processes, which include reviewing and providing feedback on code reviews.

• Collaborate closely with QA to test and safely implement changes.

• Automate repetitive tasks using AI tools where beneficial.

• Design visually striking, functional, and high-conversion Shopify websites for Warner Music Group brands and clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of practical Shopify development experience at an agency or with a brand using Shopify.

• A portfolio showcasing previous Shopify projects.

• Comprehensive understanding of Shopify themes, including sections, templates, theme settings, and the Shopify admin interface.

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Liquid, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

• Familiarity with lightweight client-side frameworks such as Stimulus or Alpine.js.

• Knowledge of responsive, mobile-first development principles.

• Familiarity with accessibility best practices and WCAG 2.1 AA standards.

• Comfortable working with Git and handling pull requests.

• Experience incorporating AI tools into the development process.

• Structured coding practices using organized files and reusable components.

• Shopify Plus experience is preferred.

• Preferred experience with Shopify CLI, Theme Check, or Shopify Admin API (GraphQL).

• Experience with CI/CD processes, such as GitHub Actions, is preferred.

• Familiarity with front-end build tools like Vite or webpack is preferred.

• Experience in performance optimization using Lighthouse and Core Web Vitals is preferred.
