Shopify Data Integration & Migration Expert

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Guide clients in transitioning from e-commerce platforms like Shopware, WooCommerce, and Magento to Shopify.

• Comprehend client system environments, determine integration needs, and collaboratively plan Shopify integrations with project management.

• Provide technical support to project teams during the design phase of migration initiatives.

• Maintain ongoing communication with clients, addressing technical inquiries and offering recommendations.

• Perform migrations of e-commerce platforms to Shopify.

• Assess the requirements and constraints of existing system landscapes to derive optimal data structures and logic for Shopify.

• Offer suggestions for seamless and future-proof migrations.

• Export, transform, and import product data, customer information, order histories, coupons, and other relevant data into Shopify.

• Conduct migrations independently and responsibly.

• Keep project managers informed about progress, obstacles, and potential delays.

• Develop methodologies and establish new migration processes.

• Assist in building the interfaces development area and integrating external systems with Shopify at tante‑e.

• Provide ongoing support to clients in connecting their systems to Shopify.

⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree (Bachelor's or Master's).

• Excellent command of German, both written and spoken (minimum C1 level).

• Proficient in English (minimum B2 level).

• Strong understanding of e-commerce IT system landscapes and online shop platforms, particularly Shopify.

• Technical expertise and a willingness to work with Shopify APIs, interface documentation, and large datasets.

• Experience in integrating systems that manage product data with Shopify and migrating existing product information.

• Attention to detail and reliable reporting to project managers.

• Initiative and a proactive work ethic.

• Realistic evaluation of personal workload and task feasibility.

• Ability to voice concerns early and be receptive to feedback for personal and process enhancement.

• Capability to communicate complex information clearly.

• Organized approach, strong prioritization skills, and the ability to oversee multiple concurrent projects.
