Senior Ecommerce Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and launch new functionalities for the customer-oriented e-commerce platform utilizing TypeScript and Hydrogen, React, and React Router v7.

• Take ownership of server-rendered pages from start to finish, encompassing routes, loaders, actions, and customer-facing components.

• Connect with commerce, content, and analytics APIs.

• Troubleshoot issues throughout the complete request lifecycle.

• Enhance site speed and dependability to ensure quick visits and smooth checkouts.

• Make informed architectural investment choices and provide simpler solutions when suitable.

• Collaborate with Marketing, Design, Product, and Operations teams on launches, campaigns, and experiments.

• Produce maintainable, high-quality code with robust test coverage.

• Guide other engineers through code reviews and design conversations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in building and managing production-grade React and TypeScript applications with server-side rendering.

• Strong practical knowledge of React Router v7, including routes, loaders, actions, and server-rendered application patterns.

• Full-stack capabilities: adept in both client-side and server-side operations, API integration, and debugging throughout the request lifecycle.

• Proven history of enhancing performance and reliability for a customer-facing website.

• Sound judgment regarding when to invest in architecture versus delivering simpler solutions.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with both engineering and non-engineering teams.

• Familiarity with Shopify Plus, the Storefront API, or Hydrogen.

• Experience with CMS integrations.

• Awareness of feature flags and A/B testing methodologies.

• Background in e-commerce analytics.
