SharePoint Consultant – Public-Sector Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Strategizing, designing, executing, and enhancing Microsoft SharePoint infrastructures within an enterprise setting.

• Crafting and implementing SharePoint solutions utilizing Microsoft SharePoint Server from version 2016 (On-Premises).

• Developing and applying information architectures, as well as constructing, configuring, and deploying SharePoint portals and site collections.

• Planning and carrying out SharePoint migrations, version upgrades, and platform modernizations.

• Managing, operating, and optimizing highly available SharePoint farms and multi-farm environments.

• Creating, personalizing, automating, and documenting PowerShell scripts, along with update and deployment processes.

• Planning and executing updates, patches, and deployments while ensuring stable and secure platform operations.

• Implementing and refining operations, backup, recovery, patching, and deployment processes.

• Analyzing and addressing incidents, as well as performance and availability challenges.

• Developing and maintaining technical documentation, along with operational and installation concepts.

• Providing guidance to both internal and external stakeholders regarding SharePoint architecture, operations, migrations, and modernization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong knowledge and several years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SharePoint Server, particularly SharePoint 2016 On-Premises and later versions.

• Extensive experience in planning, designing, implementing, and managing SharePoint infrastructures in an enterprise context.

• Demonstrated experience with highly available SharePoint farm and multi-farm architectures.

• In-depth knowledge of information architectures, portals, and site collections.

• Significant experience with SharePoint migrations, version upgrades, and platform modernizations.

• Proficient in Microsoft PowerShell with experience in automating administrative, update, and deployment tasks.

• Comprehensive understanding of operations, backup, recovery, patching, and deployment processes.

• Experience in troubleshooting, resolving incidents, and optimizing performance and availability in complex SharePoint environments.

• Familiarity with relevant Microsoft infrastructure technologies and their integration with SharePoint.

• Experience in producing technical documentation, as well as operational, installation, and migration strategies.

• Strong grasp of stable, secure, and highly available enterprise infrastructures.

• Structured and independent work style, along with exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and consulting abilities.

• Effective communication skills and experience collaborating with both technical and business stakeholders.

• Experience with projects, IT infrastructures, and regulatory requirements in the public sector.
