Shared Business Services Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Oversee ongoing construction activities for assigned projects

• Collaborate with various departments on documentation related to the acquisition and disposal of fixed assets

• Manage the fixed asset ledger, which includes tracking asset additions and removals

• Create journal entries related to fixed assets by specified deadlines

• Implement GAAP principles within accounting procedures

• Conduct accounting research as required

• Generate and distribute reports and analytical findings

• Assist in the preparation, analysis, and validation of reporting schedules

• Compile data for both internal and external audits

• Keep precise, confidential, and comprehensive departmental records and reports

• Support members of the Finance and Accounting team as necessary

• Streamline processes and pinpoint areas for improvement

• Perform additional tasks as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience

• Graduate Degree with at least 2 years of related experience

• Alternatively, a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience without a degree

• Familiarity with financial accounting systems

• Strong computer proficiency and the ability to quickly learn new applications

• Expertise in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Capacity to work both collaboratively in a team setting and independently in a fast-paced environment

• Skills to organize tasks, adapt swiftly to changes, and perform under tight deadlines

• Capability to meet deadlines and honor commitments
