This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Enhance Lenze’s footprint in specific OEM markets by identifying and cultivating new opportunities for servo drive and motion control solutions.
• Generate and assess leads, progressing them through the sales pipeline.
• Transform prospects into loyal customers and establish a robust growth funnel.
• Actively recognize, target, and nurture high-potential OEM prospects.
• Conduct outreach, evaluate leads, and arrange initial customer meetings.
• Facilitate discovery discussions to comprehend customer applications, requirements, and buying processes.
• Identify technical opportunities to utilize Lenze’s motion solutions effectively.
• Assist in technical presentations and product demonstrations alongside internal teams.
• Develop and oversee a strong pipeline, advancing opportunities through the sales funnel to successful closure.
• Monitor customer activity, pipeline progress, and next steps using CRM tools.
• Collaborate with channel managers and distribution networks to broaden market reach and create new opportunities.
• Expand market share within existing accounts by identifying further application growth prospects.
• Provide precise forecasts, achieve or surpass sales targets, and contribute to territorial growth.
• Work with engineering and technical teams to deliver effective customer solutions.
• Continuously enhance knowledge of products, applications, and market trends.
• Engage in training, sales reviews, and cross-functional initiatives to boost performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related field is preferred.
• Over 5 years of experience in technical sales, sales engineering, or application engineering.
• Strong understanding of motion control technologies (gearmotors, VFDs, servo systems).
• Familiarity with Object Oriented software development, IEC61131-3, CIA402, and Codesys Softmotion (preferred).
• Knowledge of target markets, including OEM applications, competitors, and industry dynamics.
• Demonstrated success in acquiring new customers with a proactive, results-oriented “hunter” mentality.
• Disciplined in utilizing CRM systems, managing pipelines, and tracking performance using data-driven metrics (KPIs).
• Capability to lead discovery discussions, qualify opportunities, and manage sales cycles with minimal guidance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
• Ability to convey value propositions clearly and quantify customer impact effectively.
• Resilient, persistent, and comfortable navigating uncertainty and overcoming obstacles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM tools and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Must reside in the targeted geographic area for the role.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% for customer visits, trade shows, and training sessions.
