ServiceNow Software Developer I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +31 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow applications, modules, and features, which encompass Incident, Request, Change, and Problem Management.

• Create Service Portal solutions, custom applications, UI components, and mobile experiences.

• Develop and sustain both client-side and server-side scripts.

• Configure and enhance ServiceNow workflows, flows, business rules, UI policies, and UI actions.

• Assess business and technical requirements and suggest implementation strategies.

• Collect partner requirements and evaluate functional and technical needs.

• Guide requirements through the stages of design, development, testing, and deployment.

• Advise partners on automating, improving, and optimizing processes utilizing ServiceNow.

• Design, develop, and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise systems.

• Ensure data integrity, security, and reliability across all integrations.

• Provide direction on ServiceNow database design and schema utilization.

• Assist with incident resolution and maintain platform stability and reliability.

• Monitor performance and address functionality and performance concerns.

• Participate in system testing activities.

• Support system availability during maintenance windows, platform impacts, or periods of degraded performance, including outside of standard business hours.

• Prepare and keep technical documentation, diagrams, and data flow models up to date.

• Communicate effectively with partners, ranging from end-users to senior leadership.

• Collaborate with developers to ensure code quality, adherence to standards, and best practices.

• Aid in project planning, delivery, releases, and deployments while employing Agile methodologies.

• Work alongside ServiceNow and third-party vendors to troubleshoot technical issues.

• Perform administrative functions when necessary.

• Contribute to platform enhancements, innovation initiatives, and process improvements.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in development on the ServiceNow platform or similar enterprise platforms.

• A Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field.

• Equivalent experience can be accepted in place of a degree.

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification.

• IT Service Management Certification (or an equivalent ITSM certification).

• Proficiency in coding, building Application Programming Interfaces, custom connectors, and platform customizations.

• Familiarity with software architecture principles, database design, data structures, and software development lifecycles.

• Experience in troubleshooting and enhancing existing code and applications.

• A reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace that is free from distractions.

• Must reside in and work from one of the approved states.
