ServiceNow Engineer – Intermediate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Assist in leading the ServiceNow team to design and develop both out-of-the-box and custom solutions.

• Supervise the development efforts of junior developers and ensure adherence to best practices.

• Promote code quality, security, and manage technical debt effectively.

• Identify areas for improvement and spearhead continuous enhancement initiatives.

• Create applications, which includes configuration, report development, and data migration tasks.

• Analyze, design, code, and test various application components.

• Execute custom development and manage third-party integrations.

• Carry out unit testing and ensure defect resolution.

• Facilitate the migration of changes to the production environment.

• Assist in technical design and documentation processes.

• Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to create effective ServiceNow solutions.

• Engage with clients, managers, and end users to assess objectives and requirements.

• Define and document challenges, outcomes, risks, dependencies, vision, and strategy in collaboration with clients and leadership.

• Support the refinement, planning, and prioritization of the product backlog and roadmap.

• Aid support teams in resolving escalated ServiceNow issues.

• Estimate work effort, design, code, and test solutions while addressing any testing challenges.

• Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle and provide ongoing support.

• Maintain a flexible and proactive work environment to adapt to evolving requirements and objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in ServiceNow implementation.

• Practical experience with ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, IT Asset Management (ITAM), Hardware Asset Management (HAM), Software Asset Management (SAM), CMDB/Configuration Management, and Virtual Agent.

• Must be a US Citizen.

• Active Top Secret security clearance is required.

• Must reside in the DC area.

• Work authorization that does not require visa sponsorship now or in the future in the United States.
