Senior ServiceNow Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the design and implementation of ServiceNow solutions while mentoring junior developers.

• Ensure adherence to best practices throughout development activities.

• Identify areas for development improvement and champion continuous enhancement initiatives.

• Engage with clients, managers, and end users to evaluate project goals and requirements.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to outline challenges, desired outcomes, risks, and strategic approaches.

• Assist the Product Owner in refining the product backlog and roadmap.

• Provide support for escalated issues related to customized applications and workflows.

• Offer estimates for work effort regarding projects and enhancements.

• Design, code, test, and deploy solutions utilizing an iterative software development approach.

• Execute custom development tasks and manage third-party integrations.

• Carry out unit testing, defect resolution, and migration of changes to production environments.

• Aid in the technical design and documentation processes.

• Work with stakeholders to develop solutions that meet business requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in ServiceNow implementation.

• Practical experience with ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, IT Asset Management, HAM, SAM, CMDB, and Virtual Agent.

• Capability to foster a flexible and proactive work atmosphere.

• Experience in direct interaction with clients and end users to assess requirements and capabilities.

• Strong aptitude for defining project objectives, risks, and strategies in collaboration with stakeholders.

• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment.

• Expertise in custom development and integrating third-party solutions.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Active Top Secret security clearance.

• Authorization to work in the United States without any current or future visa sponsorship.
