ServiceNow Developer – ITSM, ITOM, Scoped App

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance an existing custom scoped application along with visualizations utilizing the ServiceNow platform and associated technologies.

• Oversee the maintenance of ServiceNow applications, custom components, workflows, and integrations.

• Design solutions that are scalable, maintainable, and perform at a high level.

• Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to evaluate requirements and convert business needs into technical implementations.

• Suggest solution methodologies, alternative designs, and implementation approaches.

• Offer technical support and mentorship to team members involved in development.

• Customize and sustain ServiceNow applications using JavaScript, ServiceNow scripting, and other platform technologies.

• Configure platform features, workflows, business rules, and user experiences.

• Create responsive user interfaces and visualizations using AngularJS, React, HTML5, CSS, and related frameworks.

• Work alongside business and analytics teams to grasp priorities and deliver technical solutions.

• Articulate technical concepts and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Guide business stakeholders on the latest technologies, platform capabilities, and best practices.

• Ensure that deliverables are comprehensive, precise, of high quality, and meet stakeholder expectations.

• Engage in solution testing, troubleshooting, and optimization processes.

• Maintain technical documentation and facilitate knowledge-sharing within the team.

• Keep abreast of ServiceNow enhancements, emerging technologies, and industry trends.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements, increased automation, and enhanced user experiences.

• Contribute to the establishment of development standards and operational best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of application development experience on the ServiceNow platform.

• Must be a United States (U.S.) Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust clearance.

• Residency in the U.S. is required.

• Authorization to work in the U.S. is necessary.

• Work must be conducted within the United States.

• In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow Platform capabilities, administration, customization, and scripting.

• Proven experience in developing custom ServiceNow applications and tailored solutions.

• Expertise in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting.

• Familiarity with AngularJS, HTML5, CSS/CSS3, XML/JSON, REST services, and contemporary web development methodologies.

• Practical experience in designing, debugging, and supporting enterprise applications.

• Capability to analyze intricate business requirements and effectively translate them into technical solutions.

• ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CAD, or other relevant credentials are preferred.

• Knowledge of ServiceNow AI capabilities, including Now Assist and other platform AI features, with demonstrated experience in supporting or implementing ServiceNow AI-driven solutions in enterprise settings is preferred.

• Experience in fast-paced, collaborative, and deadline-oriented environments.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across various teams.
