ServiceNow Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the business analysis workstream for the implementation of ServiceNow IT Asset Management and Hardware Asset Management.

• Act as the main point of contact between business stakeholders, process owners, technical teams, implementation partners, and program leadership.

• Establish and document comprehensive hardware asset lifecycle processes, encompassing request, procurement, receiving, inventory, deployment, assignment, transfer, repair, refresh, return, retirement, disposal, and data sanitization.

• Create documentation for current-state and future-state asset management processes through process maps, swim lanes, workflows, RACI matrices, and supporting procedures.

• Identify gaps in processes, inefficiencies, control weaknesses, and opportunities to standardize asset management practices.

• Specify business rules, approval workflows, roles, notifications, exceptions, and service-level expectations for ITAM/HAM processes.

• Analyze and document integration requirements between ITAM/HAM and ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Security Operations, GRC, procurement, finance, endpoint management, identity, discovery, and other enterprise systems.

• Define integration data flows, business rules, ownership, error handling, reconciliation requirements, and acceptance criteria.

• Facilitate communication between stakeholders and technical teams by capturing, documenting, and translating business needs into ITAM solution requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.

• Over 10 years of relevant experience.

• Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst on ServiceNow projects.

• Familiarity with ITAM or related modules, such as ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, GRC, and Security Operations.

• Advanced expertise in business process and system analysis, design, improvement, and implementation.

• Capacity to comprehend business needs and translate them into technical requirements and solutions.

• Experience in facilitating group discussions, conducting stakeholder interviews, and engaging in knowledge transfer activities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Strong organizational and documentation capabilities.

• Proficiency in requirements management tools and best practices.

• Knowledge of Agile and Traditional project delivery methodologies.

• Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

• ServiceNow certifications are preferred.

• Business Analysis certification is preferred.

• Experience in supporting modernization or migration from legacy systems to ServiceNow platforms is preferred.

• Understanding of ITIL practices and IT service management frameworks is preferred.

• Experience in government, public sector, or regulated environments is preferred.

• Familiarity with audit, compliance, and IT asset lifecycle tracking requirements is preferred.
