Configuration Management Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of configuration control in Arena PLM.

• Manage item masters, BOMs, revisions, lifecycle phases, and ECOs/ECRs/deviations.

• Oversee, route, and monitor engineering change requests and orders through the review and approval process.

• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain stakeholders.

• Conduct audits of part numbers, revisions, and BOM structures while resolving discrepancies.

• Assist in Engineering Review Board and Configuration Control Board meetings.

• Compile document packages, track action items, publish meeting minutes, and maintain change logs.

• Create and uphold configuration management procedures, work instructions, and naming/numbering conventions in accordance with standards such as AS9100.

• Support as-designed, as-built, and as-flown configuration baselines for flight and safety-critical hardware.

• Educate and assist engineers, buyers, and production staff on Arena workflows and configuration management processes.

• Act as the primary resource for PLM inquiries.

• Prepare configuration and change records for audits, customer reviews, and regulatory/compliance inspections.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in configuration management, engineering data management, or a related PLM/document control role.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a technical discipline, or an equivalent qualification.

• Practical experience in administering Arena PLM and a strong desire to quickly become an Arena power user.

• Comprehensive understanding of configuration management principles, including BOM structures, revision control, change control processes, and lifecycle management.

• Familiarity with configuration management standards and practices.

• Exceptional attention to detail and comfort in working with large datasets.

• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders while maintaining process discipline.

• Experience in a hardware/aerospace startup environment is strongly preferred.

• Prior experience with data migrations or PLM system implementations is preferred.

• Exposure to ERP/MRP systems is preferred.

• Familiarity with drawing/model-based definition practices is preferred.

• Previous experience in satellite, launch vehicle, or space hardware programs is preferred.

• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
