This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +12 more locations.
β’ Design and implement technical training initiatives for technicians that encompass both new and existing service techniques.
β’ Work in partnership with Service Operations leaders and field management teams to pinpoint areas for competency enhancement.
β’ Create and adapt training programs to align with regional business requirements.
β’ Ensure that training materials address realistic challenges faced by technicians and promote best practices.
β’ Assist in competency evaluations, certification initiatives, skills assessments, and development planning.
β’ Mentor technicians and frontline leaders to support operational excellence efforts.
β’ Maintain and evaluate organizational and individual training documentation to assess the effectiveness of training.
β’ Comprehend intricate workflows and operational procedures, including necessary system transactions.
β’ Collaborate with safety, quality, and operational stakeholders to uphold company standards and expectations.
β’ Remain updated on advancements in elevator technology, service methods, technician and supervisor development, as well as adult learning methodologies.
β’ Ensure that training venues, events, and learning experiences adhere to KONE's standards.
β’ At least 5 years of practical experience in the elevator industry.
β’ Proven experience in mentoring, coaching, training, or developing elevator personnel.
β’ In-depth knowledge of service operations with demonstrated technical troubleshooting capabilities.
β’ Strong grasp of elevator industry workflows, field processes, tools, and digital applications.
β’ Established ability to influence and cultivate technicians through both formal and informal leadership.
β’ Exceptional skills in presentation, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management.
β’ Experience in roles such as Service Supervisor, Service Manager, Repair Supervisor, Construction Supervisor, Lead Mechanic, Adjuster, Technical Support Specialist, Field Trainer, or other similar elevator industry positions.
β’ Experience in delivering technical training across classroom, virtual, field, or on-the-job settings.
β’ Experience in creating training materials, job aids, assessments, procedures, or learning programs.
β’ Familiarity with working in a unionized environment.
β’ Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, technician and supervisor development, and continuous improvement.
