This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +6 more states.
• Collaborate with business leaders and subject matter experts to pinpoint learning, capability, and performance requirements.
• Conduct discovery discussions and needs assessments to clarify business objectives, learner requirements, root causes, constraints, and measures of success.
• Suggest effective solutions, which may include digital learning, performance support, workflow guidance, coaching, job aids, facilitated learning, or AI-enabled assistance.
• Convert intricate business processes and subject matter into straightforward, practical learning experiences.
• Foster trusted relationships across various business functions and act as a strategic learning advisor.
• Design and develop digital learning experiences from initial concept to full implementation.
• Create microlearning, simulations, branching scenarios, knowledge assessments, application activities, and performance-support resources.
• Utilize innovative approaches, media, and technology to promote progressive learning.
• Develop custom solutions and modify existing templates as necessary.
• Implement adult learning principles, accessibility standards, and instructional design frameworks.
• Oversee multiple projects as business priorities and needs change.
• Produce professional videos, software demonstrations, and screen-recording tutorials.
• Create animated and scenario-based content, including avatars and voice-over experiences.
• Develop storyboards, scripts, visual concepts, graphics, and multimedia elements.
• Employ visual storytelling techniques to clarify complex information and enhance learner engagement.
• Deliver polished outputs that align with the organization's brand and quality expectations.
• Utilize approved AI tools for ideation, analysis, scripting, storyboarding, media production, prototyping, and development efficiency.
• Investigate emerging AI capabilities for learning, performance support, practice, personalization, and knowledge access.
• Experiment judiciously with new methods while adhering to standards for accuracy, security, privacy, accessibility, and human oversight.
• Identify opportunities to transition from traditional course-based solutions to performance-oriented experiences.
• Share insights gained and assist colleagues and business partners in adopting effective AI-enabled practices.
• Occasional travel may be necessary for corporate meetings, team workshops, career development, site visits, and support related to acquisitions/mergers.
• A Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, learning, education, communications, digital media, or a related field is preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be accepted.
• Relevant certifications are advantageous.
• A minimum of three years of hands-on experience in digital learning or multimedia development.
• Proven track record of delivering creative solutions for complex, business-critical projects.
• Work experience that demonstrates original thinking, strong design judgment, and polished output across various formats.
• Ability to quickly adapt, manage a consistent project pipeline, and produce consistently high-quality work.
• Proficiency in Storyline and Rise is expected.
• Experience with Vyond, Camtasia, and Copilot is highly preferred.
• Experience with Workday Learning or a comparable LMS is preferred.
• Skills in consulting, needs analysis, and partnership with stakeholders.
• Strong writing, visual communication, and storytelling abilities.
• Expertise in digital learning and multimedia development.
• Commitment to learner-centered design and sound judgment.
• Business acumen and ability to influence stakeholders.
• Capability to own projects, prioritize tasks, and remain adaptable.
• Curiosity and responsible application of AI.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across functions.
• Proficiency in communication in person, via phone, and through electronic channels.
• Frequent computer use, including typing and sustained attention to a monitor.
• Ability to sit, walk, and/or stand for extended periods.
