
Service Support Engineer – Refrigeration and Heat Pump Technology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Conduct thorough analyses of intricate fault conditions in industrial refrigeration and heat pump systems, including conducting root-cause analyses of compressor failures, performance concerns, and control issues.
• Assess operating data, log files, trend recordings, as well as pressure, temperature, current, and power readings to identify suitable corrective actions.
• Offer technical assistance to service partners and technicians for escalated service matters, commissioning tasks, and troubleshooting efforts, including on-site support.
• Deliver remote support via phone and digital means, which includes evaluating measurement results, service reports, and recommending necessary actions.
• Guide customers regarding products and solutions, and process, analyze, and evaluate damage, complaint, warranty, and goodwill cases.
• Organize, manage, monitor, and document service projects, repair tasks, and on-site evaluations.
• Evaluate service operations, components, and assemblies from both technical and commercial viewpoints, as well as calculate project expenses.
• Generate technical service documentation, troubleshooting manuals, and knowledge-base content, while also contributing to product enhancements and field testing initiatives.
• Completed vocational training in a technical field, followed by advanced qualifications as a state-certified technician or master craftsperson, or an engineering degree, or an equivalent credential.
• Several years of hands-on experience in industrial refrigeration, air conditioning, heat pump, or compressor technology.
• In-depth understanding of technical system analysis and fault diagnosis.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.
• Familiarity with ERP or service management systems, preferably SAP and PSI Penta.
• An independent, structured, and solution-focused work approach.
• Strong emphasis on customer service and excellent communication abilities in a technical setting.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within the DACH region.
• Readiness to engage in a rotating 24/7 on-call service.
• Proficient in German and good command of English, both written and spoken.
