
Service Support Engineer – Refrigeration and Heat Pump Technology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Analyze intricate fault patterns in industrial refrigeration and heat pump systems, including conducting root-cause analyses of compressor failures, performance challenges, and control-system faults.
• Assess operating data, log files, trend recordings, and measurements of pressure, temperature, current, and power to identify suitable actions.
• Deliver technical support to service partners and technicians in escalated service cases, commissioning tasks, and troubleshooting efforts, including on-site assistance.
• Offer remote support via telephone and digital means, including evaluating measurement results, service reports, and proposed actions.
• Consult with customers regarding products and solutions, and process, analyze, and evaluate damage, complaint, warranty, and goodwill cases.
• Organize, oversee, document, and manage service projects, repair actions, and findings from on-site assessments.
• Evaluate the technical and commercial dimensions of service activities, components, and assemblies, and estimate project costs.
• Develop technical service documentation, troubleshooting manuals, and knowledge-base content, while contributing to product enhancements and field trials.
• Completed technical vocational training with further qualifications as a state-certified technician or master craftsperson, an engineering degree, or an equivalent credential.
• Several years of professional experience in the fields of industrial refrigeration, air-conditioning, heat pump, or compressor technology.
• Strong expertise in analyzing and diagnosing faults in technical systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 and experienced with ERP or service management systems; familiarity with SAP and PSI Penta is preferred.
• An independent, structured, and solution-focused work methodology.
• Excellent customer service orientation paired with outstanding communication skills in a technical setting.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within the DACH region and participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call service.
• Very good command of German and good English skills, both written and spoken.
