This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Create comprehensive cost estimates and customer pricing for commissioning, preventive maintenance, emergency callouts, troubleshooting, repairs, equipment upgrades, and various service activities.
• Calculate expenses related to labor, travel, materials, tools, subcontractors, and other project-specific costs.
• Set standardized pricing for regular labor, overtime, weekends, holidays, emergency responses, standby time, and travel.
• Assess project requirements, customer specifications, scopes of work, and service-level agreements to pinpoint pricing needs and potential cost risks.
• Prepare pricing for long-term service contracts, annual maintenance agreements, and warranty extensions.
• Develop pricing assumptions, exclusions, and commercial clarifications for customer quotes.
• Analyze completed projects against actual outcomes and suggest pricing modifications.
• Create and maintain standardized service part numbers in SAP or the relevant business system.
• Collaborate with Delta Business Units and technical teams to gather product pricing, spare parts lists, service needs, and technical information.
• Maintain a centralized database of product pricing, service intervals, estimated labor hours, necessary skills, tools, and spare parts.
• Develop pricing sheets, cost models, templates, and estimating tools for Service Sales Managers.
• Offer pricing guidance and support customer proposals, contracts, renewals, and change orders.
• Manage version control and communicate pricing updates to Service Sales and Operations teams.
• Assist in training stakeholders on pricing tools and service part numbers.
• Monitor projected margins and analyze historical costs, pricing trends, cost variances, and quoting activity.
• Generate reports and recommendations to enhance margins, lower delivery costs, and standardize service offerings.
• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
• At least three years of experience in service estimating, sales operations, field service, project costing, pricing, or a similar role.
• Proven experience in developing pricing for technical or field service offerings.
• Strong knowledge of labor rates, travel expenses, materials, subcontractor costs, margins, and project-related expenditures.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP is highly preferred.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pricing models, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Previous experience in supporting data center, power electronics, telecom, energy, EV charging, cooling, or other technical service sectors is preferred.
• Excellent analytical and financial abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and pricing precision.
• Capability to interpret scopes of work and technical service needs.
• Strong organizational and document management skills.
• Ability to coordinate efforts across multiple Business Units and functional teams.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple pricing requests and meet competing deadlines.
• Commercial awareness with a focus on profitability and risk management.
• Ability to work extended periods at a desk using a computer and telephone.
• Capability to work in confined spaces, distinguish colors, and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, reaching, climbing, and lifting up to 45 lbs.
