This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.
• Take full ownership of the SEO strategy from start to finish for small-business clients in automotive detailing, paint protection film, ceramic coating, and window tinting.
• Oversee and assess white-label SEO vendors, including evaluating their scope, deliverables, turnaround times, quality, pricing, service levels, and contract conditions.
• Provide recommendations on whether to retain, renegotiate, or replace each vendor.
• Identify two to four scopes of work to internalize and create standardized operating procedures for repeatability.
• Manage Google Business Profile optimization, map pack ranking strategies, and on-page SEO for client accounts.
• Diagnose ranking problems and formulate prioritized, client-specific action plans.
• Monitor and report on local ranking shifts, map pack visibility, and organic traffic using Ahrefs and other tools.
• Develop strategies for AI Overviews, LLM-based searches, and zero-click behaviors, converting them into testable content, schema, and citation-focused outputs.
• Keep track of algorithm and AI search changes, making necessary adjustments to client strategies.
• Direct and refine SEO content, including briefs, structure, on-page optimization, and quality assurance.
• Act as the internal SEO consultant for website development projects to ensure sites launch optimized for search.
• Report outcomes in straightforward language and convert performance trends into actionable enhancements.
• Assist in hiring, training, and leading additional SEO team members as the department expands.
• A minimum of 6 years of hands-on SEO experience with proven success in enhancing local/SMB rankings (map pack positioning, GBP visibility, organic traffic).
• Proficient in Ahrefs and/or similar tools for keyword research, rank tracking, competitor analysis, and gap analysis.
• Strong competence in traditional technical and on-page SEO, local map grid tracking, AI-driven SEO, and answer engine optimization.
• Experience in editing or guiding content created by others, with a clear understanding of what drives SEO content to rank and convert effectively.
• A genuine and up-to-date interest in AI-driven search.
• Comfortable working independently within a remote, contract-to-hire framework with limited existing infrastructure.
• Demonstrated ability to translate high-level SEO strategies into measurable business outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills to engage with non-technical stakeholders and clients.
• Fully remote position from any location in Latam.
