This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Perform monthly technical SEO assessments across the client's digital platforms.
• Enhance content for generative/AI answer engines while tracking content visibility and citation.
• Align organic SEO/GEO strategy with media messaging across SEM, programmatic advertising, and owned channels.
• Oversee on-site search functionality and assist in quarterly content certification evaluations.
• Improve page speed, Core Web Vitals, and mobile responsiveness.
• Manage XML sitemaps, robots.txt settings, and overall crawlability configurations.
• Apply schema markup, structured metadata, and microdata formats.
• Strengthen internal linking and taxonomy organization.
• Facilitate voice-search readiness through structured content and search-friendly design.
• Analyze search behavior, indexing trends, and crawl logs.
• Collaborate with developers, content teams, and UX personnel on technical SEO needs for releases.
• Develop SEO training materials, workshops, documentation, and best-practice resources.
• Monitor technical SEO KPIs and provide actionable insights for leadership.
• Keep track of algorithm updates and evaluate their effects.
• Ensure technical SEO enhancements comply with federal, DoD, and accessibility standards.
• Set and track goals, objectives, performance standards, and accountability using metrics.
• Execute other relevant tasks as qualified or trained.
• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science, Web Development, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical SEO for enterprise websites, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Must possess an active Secret clearance or higher.
• Proficient in conducting technical audits using Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, or similar tools.
• Experience in optimizing page speed, enhancing site structures, and implementing schema markup.
• Skilled in optimizing email/newsletter platforms like GovDelivery or equivalent.
• Familiarity with generative/AI search behavior and LLM-based retrieval.
• Experience in creating structured content and FAQs for conversational and voice interfaces.
• Understanding of search engine marketing (SEM) and paid media principles.
• Proven experience working collaboratively with content, UX, and development teams.
• Capable of developing documentation, training resources, or workshops.
• Strong knowledge of SEO diagnostics, indexing signals, structured data, canonical rules, and website performance optimization.
• Proficient with Google Search Console, Lighthouse, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and PageSpeed Insights.
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript functionality, and CMS-driven platforms.
• Knowledge of accessibility and mobile optimization best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, along with training capabilities.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to handle multiple concurrent SEO projects and deadlines.
• Collaborative approach to working with content, UX, engineering, and PMO teams.
