Senior Workday Report Developer, Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Organize and conduct requirements workshops, interviews, and walkthroughs with business stakeholders and subject-matter experts.

• Transform business inquiries into structured reporting specifications, encompassing purpose, audience, data elements, filters, prompts, frequency, security, and distribution.

• Evaluate current-state reports from legacy systems to decide whether to retire, replace, consolidate, or rebuild them within Workday.

• Assess and prioritize requests based on business value, data availability, and existing Workday functionality.

• Maintain a reporting requirements inventory and a traceability matrix that links requirements to design, build, and testing evidence.

• Secure formal business approval on requirements and finalized reports.

• Identify data quality issues and process challenges, escalating them to the appropriate workstream.

• Prepare unit testing evidence and assist in the execution of SIT and BAT tests, including defect resolution.

• Oversee report migration across tenants in accordance with the BMS release management protocol.

• Implement and help enhance the Workday Reporting Governance Framework.

• Create functional and technical design documentation for each report.

• Facilitate knowledge transfer to client report writers and key users.

• Develop user guides and a report catalog.

• Offer hypercare support post-Go-Live and transition responsibilities to the support organization.

• Design and construct Workday reports, dashboards, Discovery Boards, and worklet-based analytics.

• Generate reports utilized as data sources for integrations, in collaboration with the integration team.

• Configure report sharing, scheduling, bursting, and output formats.

• Implement Workday domain and business process security measures.

• Enhance report performance and address defects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in designing and building various types of Workday reports: Simple, Advanced, Matrix, Composite, Trending, and Transposed.

• Demonstrated experience in developing dashboards, Discovery Boards, and worklet-based analytics for managerial and executive purposes.

• Background in creating and maintaining calculated fields, custom report data sources, and report prompts.

• Experience in constructing reports that serve as data sources for integrations, including RaaS / Workday web services.

• Familiarity with configuring report sharing, scheduling, bursting, and output formats.

• Understanding of Workday domain and business process security.

• Capability to optimize report performance and rectify defects.

• Skill in planning and facilitating requirements workshops, interviews, and walkthroughs.

• Ability to convert business inquiries into structured reporting requirements.

• Proficiency in analyzing legacy reports to determine whether to retire, replace, consolidate, or rebuild them in Workday.

• Ability to maintain a reporting requirements inventory and traceability matrix.

• Experience in preparing unit test evidence and supporting SIT and BAT testing.

• Competence in managing report migration across tenants.

• Ability to produce functional and technical design documentation.

• Skill in providing knowledge transfer, user guides, and report catalogs.

• Capability to deliver hypercare support following Go-Live.

• Availability for full-time work.
