Senior Workday Finance Functional Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete functional design and implementation of the Workday Invoice-to-Cash transformation, encompassing Billing, Revenue Management, Accounts Receivable, Collections, Tax, Reporting, and Customer Communications.

• Organize and lead discovery, design, and solution workshops with stakeholders from Billing Operations, Accounting, Revenue, Tax, Sales, and Technology.

• Establish future-state business processes, approval workflows, controls, security requirements, and operational procedures.

• Collaborate with business teams to devise both standard and non-standard solutions for billing, revenue recognition, collections, and tax.

• Spearhead the gathering and validation of reporting, dashboard, and analytics requirements.

• Assist in data conversion, reconciliation, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), cutover planning, and hypercare.

• Execute and oversee implementation and support projects in conjunction with customer teams.

• Collect business requirements and provide configuration assistance for Workday Absence, Payroll, Recruitment, and Talent Management modules.

• Engage in integration design and development activities.

• Maintain existing integrations, address defects, enhance integrations, and implement updates.

• Develop technical specifications in collaboration with Workday configuration and integration analysts.

• Analyze business requirements and generate detailed solution specifications.

• Ensure effective Workday system architecture, interfaces, integrations, and custom reports/dashboards.

• Monitor issues and risks, communicate status updates, and escalate concerns as necessary.

• Provide planning, guidance, and issue resolution support to geographically dispersed teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6–10 years of relevant work experience as detailed in the job description.

• A minimum of 8+ years of experience with Workday Financials.

• Proven experience with successful end-to-end Workday Finance implementations or support.

• In-depth knowledge of Billing, Revenue Management, Accounts Receivable, Financial Accounting, Customers, and Collections.

• Experience in designing and managing integrations between Workday Financials and other enterprise systems.

• Familiarity with Workday Security, role-based security, business process controls, auditability, and segregation of duties.

• Demonstrated Functional Lead/Architect experience on at least two complete Workday Financials implementations, preferably including Billing and Revenue Management.

• Strong skills in communication, stakeholder management, documentation, and program delivery.

• Experience providing configuration support for Workday Absence, Payroll, Recruitment, and Talent Management.

• Capable of participating in integration design and development while formulating technical specifications.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with teams or Project Managers.

• Competence in working with teams located across different geographical areas.
