This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +4 more states.
• Deliver financial support for programs and major national defense contracts
• Ensure timely and precise schedule and cost performance metrics utilizing Earned Value or similar methodologies
• Assist in baseline development along with the creation of charge numbers and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
• Refresh program information within ERP or Cobra tools
• Evaluate and report on budget performance discrepancies and aid in recovery strategies
• Assess and report on risks and opportunities that impact baseline costs, schedules, and Estimate at Completion (EAC)
• Sustain the Project-Activity Structure and manage charge numbers
• Execute the Estimate at Complete process and support time-phased Estimate to Complete (ETC) updates and EAC packages
• Formulate and track program-level time-phased plans for revenue forecasting, budgeting, and five-year planning
• Supply financial data, analysis, and variance explanations for Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
• Guarantee timely invoicing and collection of customer receivables
• Analyze and communicate the financial status of programs, including funding and funding subject to cancellation
• Assist Program Managers, Control Account Managers, and Schedulers in achieving program goals and completing tasks on schedule and within budget
• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• A current in-scope Secret security clearance is a necessity
• Must obtain and maintain a government security clearance
• 3–5 years of experience as an Analyst or in a similar role
• Proficient in applying Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principles in day-to-day operations with demonstrated expertise
• Familiarity with program financial controls in Department of Defense (DoD) programs
• Understanding of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
• Knowledge of various contract types including Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Fixed Price Incentive Firm (FPIF), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Cost Plus Incentive Fee (CPIF), and Time and Materials (T&M)
• Comprehension of accounting topics, particularly revenue recognition
• Capability to present intricate information to all management levels
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft software applications
• Strong skills in Excel
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with meticulous attention to detail
• Capacity to ensure timely and accurate task completion
