Senior Workday Analyst, Payroll or HCM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Configure, test, implement, and enhance Workday functionalities.

• Convert business requirements into scalable configurations and processes within Workday.

• Assist with implementation, testing, data validation, cutover, go-live, and stabilization phases.

• Resolve complex configuration and production-related issues.

• Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, IT, and other business stakeholders.

• Provide support for Workday releases, enhancements, and ongoing production requirements.

• For Payroll: oversee pay groups, calendars, earnings, deductions, payroll taxes, tax jurisdictions, payroll accounting, GL mapping, retroactive and off-cycle payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, Benefits touchpoints, parallel payroll testing, reconciliation, cutover, go-live, EIBs, and payroll-related data conversion.

• For HCM: set up Core HCM, organizations, staffing, positions, job structures, Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Talent, Performance, business processes, security, reporting, calculated fields, and dashboards; provide support for testing, releases, optimization, and production.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–7+ years of pertinent Workday or enterprise application experience.

• Proven hands-on expertise in Workday configuration, particularly in Payroll or HCM.

• Experience with Workday implementation, optimization, or significant system initiatives.

• Strong skills in business analysis, troubleshooting, testing, and stakeholder engagement.

• Extensive hands-on experience in Workday Payroll configuration and implementation for the Payroll profile.

• Understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations for the Payroll profile.

• Solid hands-on experience in Workday HCM configuration for the HCM profile.

• Workday certifications are preferred but not mandatory.

• Experience in healthcare, higher education, or complex enterprise environments is favored.
