Payroll Tax and Compliance Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Oversee payroll tax compliance, filings, and reconciliations in the APJ and EMEA regions.

• Track employee relocations across countries and international borders to ensure accurate tax withholding.

• Assess the corporate tax footprint implications arising from remote worker locations.

• Guarantee the proper application of local social security taxes and international totalization agreements.

• Stay updated on changing tax laws, statutory rates, and local compliance requirements.

• Act as the main point of contact for tax authorities, external auditors, and local payroll partners.

• Manage year-end tax reporting and statutory filings for APJ and EMEA countries.

• Develop scalable internal processes to automate tax adjustments for mobile employees.

• Report directly to the Director of Global Payroll.

• Travel around 15% for in-person relationship-building with customers and teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll tax and compliance, preferably within a rapidly growing technology firm.

• Demonstrated expertise in local taxes and social security regulations for APJ & EMEA.

• Advanced understanding of multi-country taxation, trailing liabilities, and risks associated with cross-border remote work.

• Proficient in global payroll systems such as Workday and Deel.

• Outstanding ability to interpret complex statutory tax regulations into clear, actionable corporate policies.

• A Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent international certification is preferred.

• Experience managing compliance for equity compensation, including RSUs and stock options, across various tax jurisdictions is preferred.
