Payroll Tax Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Ensure precise and prompt compliance with payroll tax regulations for the organization.

• Oversee payroll tax compliance across various entities and jurisdictions.

• Conduct reconciliations, filings, and payments pertaining to federal, state, and local payroll taxes.

• Leverage ADP Smart Compliance for processing tax filings and addressing any issues or discrepancies.

• Keep abreast of changes in payroll tax laws and regulations.

• Collaborate with Finance and HR departments regarding payroll tax inquiries and issues.

• Assist in year-end procedures, including the preparation and reporting of W-2 forms.

• Analyze payroll tax data to uncover trends and opportunities for process improvements.

• Support payroll tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.

• Assist with equity-related transactions.

• Provide support for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in payroll tax administration.

• Proficient in ADP Smart Compliance software.

• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations.

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex payroll tax challenges.

• Remarkable attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Candidate must be adaptable with work hours.

• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.

• Experience with ADP Global View is also advantageous.
