This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver innovative technical solutions for intricate hardware and software challenges.
• Offer design, implementation, technical support services, and consulting to Managed Services clients.
• Execute Managed Services offerings as outlined in CDW Service Descriptions and the Service Catalog.
• Adhere to the processes and procedures established in the CDW ManS Standard Operating Procedures manual.
• Effectively communicate with internal and external customers via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
• Conduct throughput analyses, problem-solving sessions, and infrastructure planning activities.
• Engage in projects aimed at enhancing and upgrading technology infrastructures.
• Develop and implement test plans for assigned project components.
• Identify and relay potential cross-selling opportunities to the sales team.
• Create high-quality content deliverables using suitable document templates.
• Provide senior-level technical services independently.
• Act as the technical point of contact for customer engagements and internal projects.
• Facilitate and lead design workshops for complex design initiatives.
• Formulate proactive plans to mitigate potential issues.
• Educate customers on solutions throughout the service lifecycle.
• Complete projects and tasks in line with stakeholder and management commitments.
• Execute implementation-plan scopes of work, including system builds, test plans, documentation, and training.
• Manage multiple tasks concurrently, including pre-sales activities, troubleshooting, maintenance, and emergency responses.
• Communicate unexpected events to the Engineering Manager.
• Respond to customers professionally and relay any questions or concerns to the manager.
• Assist in the creation and documentation of policies and procedures.
• Understand and fulfill production-environment SLAs.
• Support Service Account Managers, Project Managers, and product developers.
• Contribute to the development of written proposals and technical documentation.
• Assist Professional Services with client consultations and architectural recommendations.
• Review service requests daily, provide client status updates, and maintain accurate problem-tracking data.
• Test, assess, and develop new products, offerings, and solutions.
• Train customers and colleagues.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to update project plans and communicate project status.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a large-scale, multi-tenant Data Center environment, including enterprise-class planning, design, implementation, and support.
• Proficiency in VMware virtualization technologies and infrastructure.
• Experience with hyper-converged infrastructure such as Cisco Hyperflex, Nutanix, and/or VMware vSAN.
• Familiarity with Cisco UCS infrastructure.
• At least three (3) years of experience using scripting tools to automate routine and complex tasks, such as Microsoft PowerShell, VMware PowerCLI, and/or Cisco UCS PowerTool.
• Capability to resolve critical issues promptly while meeting required service levels.
• Ability to build customer trust and confidence.
• Skill in balancing multiple priorities, adapting to changing customer needs, and meeting deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Competence in performing intermediate root cause analysis.
• Focus on customer service with a high level of professionalism.
• Consistent adherence to policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
• Good time management skills with the ability to meet rigid and urgent deadlines.
• Professional-level experience with technologies and areas such as VMware, Nutanix, Cisco UCS, Dell, HPE, and ITIL is advantageous.
• Knowledge or experience with replication and backup technologies is a plus.
• Experience managing multiple virtual environments and conducting advanced troubleshooting is beneficial.
• Skills in virtual infrastructure performance monitoring and optimization, capacity utilization, trending, and reporting are a plus.
• Expertise in capacity planning and performance analysis of storage, backup, and recovery infrastructure is advantageous.
• Experience in writing technical documentation is a plus.
• Familiarity with advanced change management programs is an asset.
• ITIL Foundations Certification is advantageous.
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) certification or higher is a plus.
• Basic understanding of routing, switching, and firewall infrastructure is a plus.
• Annual bonus target of 10% subject to the terms and conditions of the plan.
