This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Deliver innovative and efficient manufacturing engineering solutions.

• Identify areas for process enhancement.

• Engage in collaborative learning with peers and stakeholders.

• Share expertise in manufacturing to enhance the team’s technical skills.

• Contribute to analyses and assessments of part costs.

• Evaluate the financial implications of new technologies.

• Support initiatives aimed at reducing manufacturing costs.

• Develop and maintain models for part cost estimation and related tools.

• Create cost estimation models and evaluate the business impact of new product designs, technologies, and design modifications.

• Generate estimates for manufacturing processes.

• Collaborate with teams in engineering, Strategic Sourcing, Global Supply Chain, and the Partnership Program Office.

• Define the basis for estimates to support decisions made by stakeholders.

• Review engineering changes, product definitions, supplier data, and manufacturing information to provide assessments of cost impacts.

• Assist with Manufacturing Readiness (MRL) through cost estimates and evaluations.

• May participate in negotiations with suppliers and partners to validate elements of the cost estimation model.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical) or a related technical field, or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or an Advanced Degree in a related area with at least 3 years of experience.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing.

• Proficient in the NX environment.

• Capable of utilizing tools such as DFMA and aPriori effectively.

• Skilled in collecting and analyzing data efficiently within the O365 ecosystem.

• Familiar with statistical analysis techniques.

• Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory, as only U.S. citizens are permitted to access information under this program/contract.

• Preferred: Background in Export Control and CORE Apprentice Level training (Continuous Improvement Tools).

• Preferred: Basic knowledge of Supply Chain/Strategic Sourcing for processing LTA agreements.

• Preferred: Experience in CAM programming and machining.

• Preferred: Familiarity with PowerBI, SQL, Power Query, Matlab, and Python.

• Preferred: Understanding of COPQ implications on part costs.
