This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Oversee cost engagements for Data Center projects with current clients.
• Generate and secure new business opportunities with capital planning clients and dedicated accounts.
• Direct capital planning and dedicated accounts, ensuring successful implementation and innovative services.
• Manage the strategy and operations for multiple programs and/or intricate projects.
• Mentor, develop, and supervise team members and direct reports.
• Act as Team Lead, managing expectations for clients and on-account teams.
• Maintain and cultivate client relationships while managing fiduciary responsibilities for JLL and its clients.
• Formulate and execute P&L team strategy in alignment with the PDS business strategy.
• Develop and adopt best practices to enhance the firm's capabilities.
• Identify and nurture new and existing client relationships; lead or assist in pursuit strategies to secure new business.
• Represent JLL at industry events, conferences, and in media as a content contributor.
• Collaborate with global capital planning teams.
• Present information to key stakeholders across project teams.
• Provide local market pricing information for materials, labor, and equipment using published documents, historical data, and market studies.
• Drive accountability for the implementation of capital planning technology.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact project deliverables, timelines, or budgets.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to collect data and deliver timely project status updates.
• Apply lessons learned and best practices to future projects.
• Stay updated on project controls industry trends and support the global community of practice.
• Travel approximately 25%, subject to change.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; preference for Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Significant experience in project management, capital planning, and long-term accounts.
• Profound knowledge of construction techniques/technology and real estate markets.
• Strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Understanding of theories, practices, and procedures related to project cost management.
• Proven ability to perform structured work assignments competently.
• Proficiency in applying existing procedures to resolve routine or standard issues.
• Ability to receive guidance and direction from senior-level roles.
• Must possess authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
• Preferred: Over 10 years of experience as an Estimator, Cost Manager, Capital Planner, or in a similar capacity.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Cost-X, On-Screen Takeoff, or other estimating software.
• Preferred: Professional certification in project management (e.g., AACE, RICS).
• Preferred: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Preferred: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred: Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Preferred: Understanding of procurement and tendering processes.
