This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with the CFO, CEO, and executive leadership team to formulate and implement the comprehensive capital markets strategy.
• Spearhead capital-raising initiatives across project, portfolio, asset, and corporate financing frameworks.
• Assess and execute various financing forms including construction debt, term debt/back-leverage, tax equity, tax credit transfers, preferred/growth equity, corporate debt, revolving credit facilities, joint ventures, structured capital, and asset-level refinancings.
• Create financing strategies that balance capital costs, liquidity, execution certainty, covenant obligations, risk distribution, and long-term enterprise value.
• Direct negotiations with banks, institutional investors, infrastructure funds, tax equity providers, private credit providers, investment banks, rating agencies, and other capital stakeholders.
• Oversee financing procedures from market engagement to term-sheet assessment, due diligence, documentation, closing, and compliance post-closing.
• Set capitalization priorities and maintain a capitalization roadmap for the development pipeline and operational portfolio.
• Supervise underwriting for community solar, distributed generation, energy storage, and related investment opportunities.
• Define underwriting standards, investment criteria, risk classifications, return expectations, and investment review processes.
• Provide executive oversight over project, portfolio, financing, and enterprise financial models.
• Perform sensitivity, scenario, and downside analyses while assessing IRR, NPV, ROIC, cash yield, debt-service coverage, leverage, and payback duration.
• Lead the preparation and presentation of capitalization and investment proposals to the Investment Committee.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, liquidity projections, management reporting, and performance evaluations.
• Design and assess financing structures while coordinating due diligence with Legal, Tax, and Accounting departments.
• Ensure compliance with financing obligations post-closing.
• Provide counsel to the CFO, CEO, executive leadership team, and Investment Committee.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the FP&A and investments team.
• Define roles, decision-making authority, performance expectations, and development plans for direct reports.
• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• An MBA, CFA, CPA, or other pertinent advanced certification is preferred.
• At least 15 years of progressive experience in capital markets, project finance, structured finance, infrastructure investing, investment banking, renewable energy finance, private equity, or corporate finance.
• Extensive experience in the renewable energy, power, infrastructure, or distributed generation sectors is highly preferred.
• A proven history of raising and structuring capital, including project/corporate debt, tax equity, preferred equity, private credit, joint ventures, and growth equity for solar, community solar, energy storage, or infrastructure assets.
• Advanced understanding of project and enterprise financial models, downside/sensitivity analysis, and risk-adjusted investment underwriting.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and present recommendations to Investment Committees, Boards, executive leaders, lenders, and institutional investors.
• In-depth knowledge of renewable energy tax incentives, project revenue structures, and capital-provider requirements.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop FP&A, investment analysis, and transaction execution teams in a growth-oriented or private-capital-backed setting.
