This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +3 more states.
• Formulate and implement the company's business development strategy aimed at sustainable growth and competitive advantage.
• Analyze market trends, identify emerging opportunities, and assess industry changes to guide strategic planning.
• Collaborate with the executive team to establish revenue objectives, growth ambitions, and organizational priorities.
• Seek out, engage, and secure new business ventures, strategic alliances, joint ventures, and acquisitions.
• Manage the development of the pipeline and the progression of high-value opportunities.
• Broaden the company’s presence in both existing and new markets through relationships with stakeholders and industry leaders.
• Build and maintain executive-level relationships with clients, partners, investors, and external entities.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and business forums.
• Negotiate impactful contracts, agreements, and partnerships.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the business development team.
• Promote collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Product teams.
• Set performance metrics, monitoring systems, and reporting frameworks.
• Supervise budgeting, forecasting, and resource distribution.
• Assess opportunity viability, ROI, and strategic risks through data-driven insights.
• Ensure adherence to organizational policies, legal standards, and industry regulations.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, risk management, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Required: CPCU and/or ARM designation or progress towards these qualifications.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including relationship management in claims or risk management, or a comparable mix of education and experience.
• Demonstrated success in leading extensive growth initiatives and securing valuable partnerships.
• Experience in executive senior leadership roles within complex, high-growth, or multi-unit organizations.
• Strong conceptual and analytical thinking capabilities.
• Exceptional judgment, problem-solving, analytical, and discretion skills.
• Capacity to manage work-related stress and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to meet deadlines effectively.
• Proficiency in using a computer keyboard.
