This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify and convert strategic project opportunities within Watts' Mega Projects sectors.
• Foster and sustain relationships with owners, developers, engineers, contractors, distribution partners, and manufacturers' representatives.
• Engage with project stakeholders early in the design phase to influence product selection, specifications, basis-of-design positions, and project requirements.
• Create and implement project-specific business development strategies to enhance Watts content and transform opportunities into orders.
• Develop and uphold a strong project pipeline, including project schedules, stakeholders, specifications, competitive positioning, and forecasts.
• Offer technical support and application expertise for hydronic cooling, process water, technical water, HVAC, and related mechanical piping systems.
• Assist engineers, contractors, end-users, and distribution partners with system design, product selection, specification development, and application guidance.
• Support master specifications and project documentation that promote Watts products and solutions.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Applications Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales teams on project-specific solutions.
• Coordinate quotations, pricing strategies, commercial positioning, and competitive response plans.
• Monitor project schedules, procurement timing, material requirements, and execution risks.
• Provide field support and troubleshooting during installation, commissioning, start-up, operation, and maintenance.
• Design and deliver classroom, virtual, and hands-on training programs.
• Stay informed about industry standards, plumbing codes, mechanical codes, specifications, and regulations.
• Represent Watts at conferences, trade shows, standards committees, customer events, and industry associations.
• Collect and relay market intelligence, customer feedback, industry trends, competitive insights, and emerging application requirements.
• Identify product gaps, market opportunities, and customer needs to support future products, services, and initiatives.
• Maintain accurate opportunity, project, and forecast information in CRM and business systems.
• Address technical, commercial, operational, and supply chain challenges across functions.
• Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Travel up to 70% throughout the South-Central U.S. territory.
• Report to the appropriate National Sales Manager or Director; no supervisory responsibility.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business, Industrial Technology, HVAC, Mechanical Systems, or a related field; equivalent industry experience may be considered.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in technical sales, field sales, applications engineering, business development, or customer-facing commercial roles.
• At least 5 years of experience supporting engineered products, systems, and technical applications.
• Experience in flow control, plumbing, HVAC, hydronic systems, process water, industrial piping, mechanical systems, or related industries.
• Working knowledge of valves, actuators, hydronic cooling systems, process water systems, HVAC systems, and associated piping applications.
• Strong understanding of project lifecycle management, including design, specification, bidding, procurement, construction, and project execution.
• Proven ability to build relationships and influence decision-makers in complex project environments.
• Experience collaborating with owners, engineers, consultants, contractors, distributors, and manufacturers' representatives.
• Ability to interpret specifications, drawings, bills of material, schedules, and technical project documentation.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in supporting quotations, pricing, negotiations, project strategy, and competitive positioning.
• Advanced problem-solving, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Strong project and opportunity management capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively across Sales, Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Supply Chain, and Marketing functions.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time management, follow-through, and prioritization skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
• Understanding of and compliance with applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures.
• Must successfully establish employment eligibility and complete background checks and required pre-employment testing.
• Candidates should be located near a major airport.
• Preferred: Experience supporting Data Center, Semiconductor, EV/Battery, Advanced Manufacturing, or other Mega Project sectors.
• Preferred: Experience in commercial construction, industrial facilities, critical infrastructure, or mission-critical applications.
• Preferred: Familiarity with plumbing, mechanical, hydronic, and HVAC design standards and codes.
• Preferred: Experience driving basis-of-design specifications and influencing engineering design decisions.
• Preferred: Experience in creating and delivering technical training programs.
• Preferred: Knowledge of market trends, industry standards organizations, and competitive products within targeted sectors.
