This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.
• Oversee user research initiatives across Public Safety, Civilian, and Vital Core products
• Organize and execute customer interviews, usability assessments, field research, journey mapping, and product validation tasks
• Collect and analyze customer use cases, market segments, competitor activities, and the regulatory landscape
• Convert research insights and data into practical product recommendations, design enhancements, and future research directions
• Share research findings and insights with various teams throughout the organization
• Collaborate with UX designers to ensure user feedback and testing shape the design process
• Develop research documentation, analytical outputs, wireframes, workflows, prototypes, and interaction designs when additional design resources are necessary
• Work alongside designers to define product architecture and layout, refine solutions, and validate design work with users
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success, Sales, and technology teams
• Assist in customer demonstrations, beta testing programs, and feedback initiatives
• Utilize qualitative and quantitative data, analytics, customer insights, and other sources to set project metrics, identify evidence gaps, and inform testing strategies
• Implement research methods in various contexts, including remote, in-person, moderated, and unmoderated settings
• Employ research and analysis tools such as FullStory, Crazy Egg, and Userlytics
• Mentor junior researchers and enhance research methodologies and technical competencies
• Participate in accessibility evaluations, testing, remediation suggestions, and compliance documentation
• Aid in the creation and upkeep of VPATs and ACRs
• 6-8 years of pertinent user research, UX, product design, or a similar background
• Proven experience in utilizing various UX research methodologies and selecting suitable research techniques for diverse contexts
• Proficiency in conducting customer interviews, usability evaluations, field research, journey mapping, and product validation
• Capability to analyze research data and findings, pinpoint issues, and propose viable solutions
• Experience in clearly presenting research insights and recommendations to stakeholders
• Strong ability to collaborate with UX design, product management, engineering, customer success, sales, and technology teams
• Demonstrated experience in creating research documentation and analytical outputs
• Practical skills in developing wireframes, workflows, prototypes, or interaction designs when design assistance is required
• Ability to cultivate strong working relationships, communicate effectively, collaborate, and manage daily tasks independently
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in psychology, UX, human-computer interaction, product design, design, graphic design, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory
• Familiarity with digital accessibility standards and practices, including WCAG
• Experience in preparing or maintaining VPATs and ACRs
• Background in accessibility testing, remediation recommendations, or compliance documentation
• Front-end development skills
• Must successfully pass the standard company background check and enhanced criminal background check
• Must hold certification from state and local law enforcement to access criminal justice information and maintain CJIS compliance
