Senior User Researcher – SC Cleared

📋 Description

• Lead and execute user research for intricate projects.

• Ensure that research insights influence product, service, and strategic decisions.

• Engage in client meetings, workshops, and presentations.

• Develop strong client relationships and provide actionable insights.

• Anticipate client requirements and suggest research opportunities.

• Drive outcomes that align with user needs and business goals.

• Strengthen Version 1’s user research practice by sharing knowledge across the community of practice.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active SC clearance is a must.

• Over 5 years of experience as a researcher.

• Experience in leading research for complex digital services within Agile settings.

• Extensive knowledge of UK public sector service design.

• Familiarity with GDS service standards, GOV.UK design system patterns, and assessment processes.

• Comprehensive research capability, encompassing generative and evaluative studies, analysis, and synthesis.

• Expertise in a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.

• Experience in moderated and unmoderated usability testing, depth interviews, surveys, co-design, and diary studies.

• Strong consultancy skills with experience in advising on research strategy.

• Proven ability to build trusted client relationships and influence senior decision-makers.

• Expertise in stakeholder management.

• Experience in engaging senior stakeholders and facilitating workshops.

• Demonstrated impact through a compelling portfolio or case studies.

• Comprehensive understanding of ethical considerations in user research, especially concerning vulnerable users or those with access needs.

• Deep knowledge of inclusive design and accessibility.

• Experience conducting research with users who have access needs.

• Familiarity with WCAG 2.2.

• Experience working within Agile teams and participating in ceremonies.

• Capability to support iterative, user-centered delivery.
