This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create a mobile experience for members that encompasses onboarding, access to care, navigation, communication, and engagement between visits.
• Develop health and wearable data experiences that empower members to comprehend pertinent health information and determine next steps.
• Design AI-driven member experiences for intake, care navigation, education, and follow-ups, ensuring clear boundaries and opportunities for human interaction.
• Enhance the connection between members and care teams, including the support of various workflows.
• Design streamlined clinical workflows for medics, providers, and care navigators relating to visit preparation, encounters, documentation, orders, and referrals.
• Create coordination tools for care teams that include task queues, messaging, and handoffs.
• Develop AI-assisted care delivery experiences for summarization, documentation drafting, and follow-up, with clinician review and adjustments.
• Craft flows for trust, control, consent, permission, review, correction, explanation, and recovery.
• Build reusable, accessible mobile components and interaction patterns.
• Take ownership of end-to-end member experience design, from discovery and workflow mapping to prototypes, production-ready designs, implementation review, and post-launch iteration.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams on discovery, alternative solutions, trade-offs, implementation, and design quality assurance.
• Conduct interviews, concept tests, and usability sessions with members and care team users.
• Leverage AI to expedite research, synthesis, prototyping, and validation while maintaining research integrity, privacy, and design quality.
• Create realistic Figma prototypes, including representative AI outputs and potential failure scenarios.
• Define and document reusable design components, patterns, and guidelines in collaboration with Engineering.
• Assess onboarding success, task completion, comprehension, satisfaction, repeat engagement, and behaviors regarding AI acceptance, correction, and overrides.
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Quality, and Compliance on safety, consent, escalation, and recovery flows.
• Engage in planning, backlog refinement, delivery rituals, design reviews, and learning practices.
• Over 5 years of experience in UX, product design, or interaction design within a high-growth, technology-driven environment.
• Proven track record of guiding projects from ambiguous problems to successful launch and iteration.
• Experience in designing and launching a consumer health, wellness, or fitness application with a significant active user base.
• A portfolio showcasing exceptional interaction and visual design skills, along with deployed mobile experiences.
• Experience in gathering insights directly from users and combining qualitative findings with product data.
• Familiarity with interaction patterns for both iOS and Android platforms.
• Capability to design for individuals with varying abilities, health literacy levels, and comfort with technology.
• High proficiency in Figma, including component-based design, interactive prototyping, and design systems.
• Understanding of concepts such as uncertainty, disclosure, review and correction, permissions, and human handoff within AI design.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled design, research, and productivity tools.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate closely with Product and Engineering within a small team.
• Skill in simplifying complex journeys, articulating design rationale, facilitating trade-off discussions, and incorporating clinical, technical, and business feedback.
• Preferred: experience in deploying AI-powered features.
• Preferred: experience in care delivery or similar regulated environments.
• Preferred: experience assisting individuals in developing useful habits or achieving health goals.
• Preferred: experience working with wearable or device data, personalized health information, or app and human care team interactions.
• Preferred: familiarity with clinical workflows, including documentation, referrals, care-team tasks, patient-provider messaging, FHIR, or HL7.
