Senior Trial Attorney, Client Legal Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Represent insured clients and the Company in defending against bodily injury and property damage lawsuits.

• Prepare for and lead trials, hearings, mediations, depositions, and examinations under oath.

• Prepare lay and expert witnesses, as well as clients, for depositions, mediations, and trials.

• Conduct court appearances, which include matter management conferences, hearings, and status conferences.

• Assist colleagues in managing calendar conflicts.

• Keep claim business partners informed about the status of cases.

• Communicate with clients to discuss their cases and address any questions.

• Review new file assignments and associated documentary evidence.

• Draft initial pleadings, propound discovery, and formulate case strategy.

• Try and/or arbitrate cases, preparing motions in limine, jury instructions, trial briefs, and summary documents.

• Draft post-trial motions as necessary.

• Provide guidance to business clients and facilitate coordination between legal teams.

• Monitor changes in laws and regulations.

• 4-year Bachelor's Degree (Required).

• Juris Doctor (Required).

• 5 or more years of experience (Preferred).

• Documentation Review.

• Strategic Management.

• Ability to work independently.

• Must submit to a background investigation.

• Must have a dedicated, private workspace that is free from distractions, along with suitable desk and seating.
