This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Review and manage court publications.
• Schedule deadlines within the case management system.
• Analyze complex cases.
• Prepare detailed reports.
• Request client obligations and adhere to deadlines.
• Draft initial pleadings for payment order proceedings, enforcement actions, and collection claims.
• Compose defenses, counterclaims, and both simple and complex motions.
• Draft appeals for small claims, motions for clarification, Special Appeals (REsp), Extraordinary Appeals (RExt), interlocutory appeals, and appeals in the records of Special and Extraordinary Appeals.
• Manage banking and mass civil litigation matters from both plaintiff and defendant perspectives.
• Oversee enforcement actions, defenses in enforcement proceedings, payment order proceedings, collection claims, lease-renewal actions, rent-review actions, other review actions, damages claims, declaratory actions, accounting actions, and injunctive proceedings.
• Handle cases during both the merits phase and the judgment enforcement or liquidation phase.
• Respond to client inquiries submitted through the internal system and via email.
• Address client requests submitted through spreadsheets.
• Manage complex cases and urgent measures requested by clients.
• Enter case information into the firm's case management system.
• Assess whether appeals can be waived.
• Request compliance with obligations to act and pay.
• Solicit supporting information and documentation.
• A minimum of three years of active registration with the São Paulo Bar Association (OAB-SP); registrations from other states will not be accepted.
• Experience working in law firms, ideally in high-volume litigation.
• Proven experience in drafting defenses and appeals.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and internet usage.
• Highly organized and focused.
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
• Familiarity with Small Claims Court proceedings.
• Knowledge of banking litigation and consumer law is advantageous.
• Current knowledge of the 2015 Brazilian Code of Civil Procedure.
• Ability to manage a substantial volume of daily analyses.
