This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Design, execute, and oversee strategies, policies, procedures, and controls aimed at preventing transactional fraud, particularly focusing on Pix, sub-acquiring, and credit.
• Achieve a balance between loss mitigation and minimizing false positives, ensuring alignment with business goals and BACEN regulations.
• Perform predictive analyses and examine fraud patterns by utilizing transactional and behavioral data.
• Recognize potential risks and suggest innovative, efficient, and sustainable solutions.
• Continuously track fraud, emerging risks, indicators, trends, and the effectiveness of implemented rules.
• Modify prevention strategies and anti-fraud measures as necessary.
• Create and monitor area KPIs, converting data into strategic insights.
• Relay fraud prevention processes, policies, and procedures to pertinent departments.
• Lead strategic projects in fraud prevention from initial conception to implementation and results assessment.
• Assess and recommend new technologies and tools.
• Maintain strategic partnerships with Product, Data, Credit, Compliance, Technology, and external collaborators.
• Represent the department in both internal and external forums, sharing results, insights, and the overall fraud prevention strategy.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in developing transactional fraud prevention strategies within the fintech, payments, acquiring, or sub-acquiring sectors.
• Experience in designing, implementing, and calibrating rules within anti-fraud engines.
• In-depth knowledge of the Pix ecosystem, BACEN regulations, and various fraud typologies.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, including complex queries and Common Table Expressions (CTEs).
• Capability to independently analyze vast amounts of data using Databricks or BI/Python tools.
• Strong analytical abilities to detect patterns and anomalies while balancing loss mitigation with reduced false positives.
• Preferred: experience with in-person payment products and physical sub-acquiring, including POS and Tap on Phone.
• Preferred: experience managing anti-fraud technology vendors or assisting in the implementation of analytical solutions such as Data Hopper.
• Preferred: practical experience with Generative AI tools like Claude, Gemini, or Databricks AI.
