Senior Training Manager, Oncology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Assist in the development and delivery of Oncology training for commercial field representatives.

• Create training content related to disease, product knowledge, sales effectiveness, market insights, and operational procedures.

• Maintain expertise in disease states, products, and relevant therapeutic areas.

• Develop and implement training programs and initiatives.

• Design and improve curriculum for the Commercial organization.

• Collaborate with Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Medical, and Regulatory teams to ensure accuracy of medical content and adherence to promotional policies.

• Oversee vendors, training content creation, and contract obligations.

• Execute project management tasks during the development of training content.

• Facilitate training meetings, including planning, logistics, vendor oversight, and participant engagement.

• Work closely with Marketing, Precision Medicine, and Commercial Leadership to create and distribute training materials.

• Partner with cross-functional teams and external organizations to deliver effective training solutions.

• Align training strategies and tactics with colleagues from partner companies.

• Establish trust and credibility with business partners.

• Attend sales meetings and accompany field teams as a resource for field sales support.

• Design and conduct training workshops at National Sales and POA Meetings.

• Uphold expertise in facilitation skills.

• Evaluate organizational training needs for clinical fluency and developmental competencies and provide feedback for innovation.

• Report to the Associate Director of Training.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree.

• Over 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry is preferred.

• Experience in Training, Marketing, or Sales within the pharmaceutical or biotech sector is preferred.

• Knowledge of Medical Oncology and Gynecologic Oncology is preferred.

• Experience in developing training tools to enhance clinical knowledge is a plus.

• Understanding of adult learning principles, training design concepts, and various platforms is beneficial.

• Outstanding ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at various organizational levels.

• High professionalism and the ability to thrive in a complex cross-functional environment.

• Capacity to operate effectively in an unstructured setting.

• Strategic insight with the ability to focus on critical initiatives.

• Familiarity with AI and innovative technology platforms, including iPad, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerAutomate is highly desirable.

• Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
