Senior Trading Operations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and assess daily trading activities, adjustments to models, tax-loss harvesting, and rebalancing across the firm.

• Contribute to the design, testing, and implementation of operational processes and enhancements to software.

• Act as the main point of contact for intricate trading issues, account reconciliations, cost basis adjustments, and advanced requests for fund transfers.

• Collaborate with financial planners, custodians, and internal tech teams on product launches and trade workflow integrations.

• Keep procedural documentation up to date.

• Support the onboarding process for new specialists and provide guidance to operational team members.

• Lead focused operational initiatives within the trading and investment operations sector.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in trading operations, portfolio accounting, or financial services operations.

• Proven experience utilizing trade rebalancing software, Order Management Systems, and various custodian platforms.

• In-depth knowledge of trading operations, securities regulations, cost basis, tax documentation, and IRA transaction guidelines.

• Strong analytical capabilities along with advanced proficiency in Excel and financial management tools.

• Excellent interpersonal skills to address complex queries across departments and manage member escalations.

• Preferred: Experience in trading and allocating separately managed accounts (SMA) and/or unified managed accounts (UMAs).

• Preferred: Comprehensive knowledge and experience with portfolio rebalancing software such as Orion Eclipse, Envestnet, or Addepar.

• Preferred: Experience with sleeved trading strategies, including the oversight and reconciliation of multiple sleeves within a portfolio.

• Preferred: Profound understanding of direct indexing strategies, tax-loss harvesting, and extensive ETF trading across multiple custodians.
