This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and execute Tandem's dual channel strategy targeting trade accounts, which include traditional distributors, wholesalers, specialty distributors, and mail order pharmacies.
• Act as the intermediary between Tandem and designated accounts, facilitating feedback and communication in both directions.
• Forecast, engage in strategic planning, and address operational challenges.
• Build relationships with trade account leadership nationwide, ensuring the achievement and retention of market share, sales objectives, and profitability.
• Create long-term contractual agreements, including negotiating trade contracts, pricing, and service levels across various channels.
• Collaborate with the US Commercial team, Market Access, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain to develop and implement dual channel strategies.
• Set and assess account metrics to enhance execution.
• Contribute to training programs and materials for distributors supporting Tandem product launches and sales.
• Oversee the portfolio while identifying opportunities for revenue and margin enhancement, market share expansion, and improved customer relations.
• Cultivate and sustain a network of influential trade contacts across multiple channels.
• Travel by car and air up to 30% of the time.
• Bachelor's degree (B.A/B.S.) in a relevant field or a combination of equivalent education and applicable work experience.
• A minimum of 8 years of successful field sales experience, which includes at least 5 years in account management or an equivalent mix of business experience and education.
• Comprehensive understanding of the trade industry and medical product distribution processes within large healthcare organizations or prescription drug vendors.
• Extensive knowledge of sales techniques and strategic objectives within the medical device sales market.
• Proven ability to drive corporate strategy through a deep understanding of the market and industry dynamics.
• Strong communication skills to present ideas and data effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Capacity to analyze sales and financial data for informed business decision-making.
• In-depth understanding of the US access environment, including distributors, pharmacies, reimbursement/co-pay support services, payer coverage, and pricing.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and meet strategic objectives.
• Familiarity with reimbursement methodologies utilized by commercial and government payers under pharmacy benefits.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and determine appropriate timing for new initiatives.
