Senior Third-Party Collection Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee collection efforts for designated third-party portfolios, which includes financial loan accounts.

• Engage in professional collection calls with customers who are overdue and negotiate payment plans in line with established client guidelines and risk parameters.

• Utilize advanced collection techniques to address delinquent accounts while prioritizing a customer-centric approach.

• Evaluate account risks and escalate cases that require further action.

• Accurately record collection activities, account updates, payment commitments, and arrangements within collection systems.

• Employ negotiation, objection resolution, and problem-solving skills to navigate difficult conversations.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, client expectations, and industry best practices.

• Meet individual collection goals and assist in achieving departmental performance objectives.

• Foster team success through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence.

• Carry out additional collection duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a Third-Party Collection Agency.

• Previous experience with Schedule A Bank portfolios is highly preferred.

• Demonstrated history of managing high-performing frontline collection teams and meeting performance targets.

• Strong performance record showcasing a commitment to compliance and quality standards.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective collection discussions.

• Strong negotiation abilities to influence outcomes and secure payment commitments.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the capacity to handle multiple priorities.

• Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

• Ability to thrive and perform successfully in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.

• Availability to work one late evening shift from 12:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. ET.

• Required Saturday shift from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. ET.
